Half a century of success
At Gagnon, we are grateful for half a century of success as a northern Ontario family-run business.
Our family is very proud to have been recognized for excellence, year after year – and also feels a special obligation to do our part through charitable acts and generous donations.
Our awards include:
- Sudbury Star Reader’s Choice Award for Favourite Optician,
- Service Excellence Award from the Chamber of Commerce,
- 2009 Business Leadership Award from the Business Professional Women
Giving back to the community we serve has always been part of our ethos. We care deeply about our customers, our city of Sudbury – and the businesses around us that support families and fuel the economic engine to help Northern Ontario thrive.
Our founder Omer Gagnon began the tradition of giving we still uphold today. Omer was a founder of both Science North and the Sudbury Charities Foundation. He was also past president of the SRDC (Sudbury Regional Development Corporation) and a generous supporter of many local businesses.
